Nathuakhan by Air
The nearest airport is the Pantnagar Airport, 95 kms/3.15 hours away, traffic being kind to you. At the airport you'll find a number of taxis that can get you to Nathuakhan. Alternatively, tell us and we will arrange a cab for you. This should cost approx Rs. 3500.
Delhi is the nearest International Airport, 300 km away.
Nathuakhan by Rail
The nearest railhead is Kathgodam, 62 kms/ 2.5 hours. Cabs are easily available, however it is advisable to book in advance.
From Kathgodam the cab to Khanabadosh will cost Rs. 2500. Buses though are less expensive and quite easily available.
Nathuakhan by Bus
Once in Haldwani, Nathuakhan is only 68 kilometers away and you will find many buses and taxis to get you to Nathuakhan from the Bus Stand. The taxi should charge approx Rs. 2500 while the bus ticket will only cost you Rs 30.
Buses leave a few times daily for Bhowali and a taxi can be organized from there too.
Getting Around Nathuakhan
Using your own No. 11's (legs, for the uninitiated) is the best way to see ANY hill station. Having said that, for day trips out of Nathuakhan, local taxis are advisable that can take you to see the local attractions or for a day trip to neighbouring Mukteshwar, Bhimtal, Nainital or Kasar Devi. You could also borrow our Mountain bikes and see places close by, if you are comfortable riding one.
